Major Annual Environmental Events
Description
Throughout the year, the Central Coast hosts a range of environmental events that bring the community together to protect and celebrate our natural surroundings. From local clean-ups and tree planting to sustainable farming festivals and eco-focused workshops, there are plenty of opportunities to get involved and support a greener future.
- March: Clean Up Australia Day (local community and school clean-ups across beaches and reserves).
- June (Long Weekend): Harvest Festival celebrating the rural hinterland and sustainable farming.
- July: National Tree Day (annual mass plantings, such as recent dune care and wetland restoration at Killcare Beach and Wyong).
- November: Sustainable Future Festival at Memorial Park, The Entrance (workshops, stalls, and eco-demonstrations).
